The Whaley Historic House Museum continues to be able to provide programs, tours, and events because of the generous contributions by people who believe that the history of Flint is worth preserving. We believe that history was meant to be shared and we make sure that the Whaley Historic House Museum is a place where community can come together.

Donate Your Artifacts
The museum accepts donations of artifacts to enter the permanent collection in the house. If you have any historical artifacts related to the McFarlans, Whaleys, Orrells, Crapos, or any other prominent Flint families from the 19th or early 20th centuries, please email us with photos and some of the history of the artifacts: [email protected] or give us a call at (810) 238-7228
Planned Giving
The historic home of the McFarlan-Whaley family has stood for over 135 years. Please consider the museum in your estate planning and plan for us in your trust or will. Gifts can be made in memory of loved ones and will be recognized by the Museum. These generous gifts allow the museum to stay open and a part of the Flint cultural community.
