Fire Restoration.

In 2015, a devastating fire caused severe damage to the historic house and artifact collection at the museum.

In 2015, the Whaley Historic House Museum experienced a devastating fire that led to our long-term closure.

Fortunately, hard work and generous support from our volunteers, community partners, and local foundations enabled the museum to re-open in 2018 and continue to be enjoyed the community.

Even though we have reopened, the Whaley Historic House Museum is still feeling the financial effects of this intense restoration project. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign if you would like your donation to be earmarked for these outstanding restoration costs.
